Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella announced during the earnings call that they see the metaverse as an important opportunity. Stating that there are great opportunities in terms of both infrastructure creation and application in Metaverse, Nadella emphasized that the game side is also of great importance here. Nadella described Metaverse as "the new wave of the internet."

Microsoft CEO Nadella announced that they have invested in Azure especially in digitization, Dynamics solutions will come to the fore in automation, Teams will support meetings with 2D first, then VR and AR glasses, and they are excited about the usage areas of HoloLens.

Microsoft Teams will launch its new features in this area in the first half of 2022.

Microsoft seems to have focused on augmented reality. This reveals the idea that the use of cameras will be minimized in the future. However, these news companies are only at the idea stage. It is not possible at this stage to both eliminate the virtual reality or augmented reality headset and give up the camera. In order to keep up with the speed created by Facebook, companies are making virtual universe presentations one after another. Microsoft's move came shortly after Facebook named its top company Meta.

The 'virtual universe', which would be possible with a technology that does not fully exist at the moment, is envisioned as a future version of the internet, with a wide variety of interconnected virtual worlds encompassing everything from gaming to education to business meetings.
